Setting Intentions: Say Yes!

This is Day One of a Seven day process we use in the Online Co-working Space for Cultural Creatives. At the beginning of every four month period, we focus on Setting Intentions. This helps us reconnect to our deepest desires. It also helps us see what is working or not working and what we need to clean up and clear it.

Day 1 of 7 days:

Saying “Yes” begins things. Saying “Yes” is how things grow. ~Stephen Colbert

The definition of intention is, “a thing intended, an aim or plan.”

The purpose is to create a road map to look at your goals and desires, from different angles, to develop depth and clarity around what you want to explore and create. This road map will also help anchor your creative pursuits with feeling and emotion. This is a driver of energy that will support forward movement towards your goals.

Make a list of goals and desires you have for the next 4 months. Creativity projects, writing projects, vacation, work, play, events, money goals, business ideas, relationships, and more. Let this be a free-flowing list.

What is really important to you? What deadlines are pressing? Define what you want to experience in the next four months. What is already on your list? A vacation may be a time for rest, or a physical pursuit or it may be a time for unending…
