This a time for reflection and inner change.

There’s an old adage that says” “When the seas are stormy, the fisherman stays home and repairs the nets.” But, this doesn’t just apply to fishing! When your seas are stormy, there may be something you need to repair. Go within; investigate what’s truly going on. Take time to regroup and reflect. One of the workshops I led at The Florida Creativity Conference last week was called: Free Your Mind: Live Your Life Like a Research Project.

The two main reasons for “researching” something:

1. Gain a new awareness about yourself and others

2. Disrupt a pattern to see new possibilities

One of the ways I “Free my Mind” is by reflecting on the past. I look through journals and emails to see patterns, remember where I began on the path and identify the gifts and lessons along the way.

I thought about reflecting as I watched CBS Sunday morning this week. They were celebrating their 40th anniversary. The show began in 1979 so they began by looking at the films and TV that…
