Flip the Script: Three practices with Water
Day Twenty-one
Three Practices with Water
“In one drop of water are found all the secrets of all the oceans.” — Kahlil Gibran
“A drop of water, if it could write out its own history, would explain the universe to us.” - Lucy Larcom
“The tree that is beside the running water is fresher and gives more fruit.”
- Saint Teresa of Avila
Practice One: A Gatekeeper Guide for Water.
Set up ritual safety — Call on a trusted guide to be with you. Ask them to clear the energetic space around you and set up a boundary for ritual safety.
In a meditative state, begin a relationship with a water deity. This could be a goddess, nature spirit, or a specific water deity. Ask them to be a gatekeeper who you can call on to engage with
Water. To confirm that this is a guide and not a trickster energy, ask them if they are a guide for you to engage with water. If yes, ask how they will work with you or how they have worked with you before. Do you feel good in this interaction? When complete thank them.
You may make a connection right away or you may practice this multiple times. You may be inspired by someone who shows up or you may decide who you want to work with…
