Flip the Script: Practices for Work
Day Seventy
Practices for Work
They say if you believe the world is throbbing with wonder, then it is. They say in old stories that you can’t discover new lands without losing sight of the shore for a long time. I say, if you believe in the wonder, you’ll find your shore. Lori Gough, Kite Strings of the Southern Cross.
Reflecting on Flip the Script on Work this week may have brought up some feelings about the past. Work that was special. Work that you wish you had an opportunity to do. Work where you would like a redo, now that you know what you know. Choices you made that were satisfying and choices you wish had been different.
The practices this week include grounding and connecting with yourself and the Earth and a Desire List.
1. A Desire List:
Make a list of 50–100 desires. This can be as simple as a food you want to try, a new bottle of shampoo, or a movie you want to see. It can be as complex as a house you want to buy, a trip you want to take, or an ending of a relationship. Give yourself time to dream and breathe.
2. Virtual Money Game:
Another version of the desire list is the virtual money game.
· Make a list of 30 days.
