Day Forty-nine

Practices for the Body

“Healing does not occur in the fast lane.” ~Angeles Arrien

After a week of flipping the script on the body, the practices today focus on engaging with the body and pausing throughout your day.

The first four are simple ways to slow down, feel a connection and breathe.

· Place one or two hands over your heart. Close your eyes and slowly breathe in and out.

· Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your belly. Close your eyes and breathe in and out.

· Place one hand on the back of your neck and one hand on your forehead. Close your eyes and breathe in and out.

· Cradle your face with two hands. Place the palm of each hand on each side of your face with wrists touching. Close your eyes and feel the preciousness of you while gently breathing in and out.

The second practice is the Butterfly Hug.

Butterfly hug:

· Cross your arms over your chest.

· Interlock your thumbs and extend your fingers into the shape of a butterfly. Fingertips just below the collarbone.
