Flip the Script: A Practice: Ho’oponopono and Metta Prayer
Day Fourteen
A Practice: Ho’oponopono and Metta Prayer
“You long for peace. You think of peace as being goodwill among the nations, the laying down of arms. But peace is far more than this, it can only be understood and realized within your heart. It lies beneath all the turmoil and noise and clamor of the world, beneath feeling, beneath thought. It is found in the deep, deep silence and stillness of the soul. It is spirit, it is God.” White Eagle, a Native American teacher
The first practice for this week is the Hawaiian prayer, Ho’oponopono. It is a simple prayer for clearing the space in your mind, body, and heart. Whenever I find myself in a negative loop of judging or worrying, I repeat the words over and over with conscious, slower breathing.
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.

The second practice is a Metta prayer from the Buddhist tradition of loving kindness and the use of mantras to clear your mind.
