In Week One, we tuned into some of the qualities of the feminine: Feelings, Intuition, Creativity, Knowing, Body Wisdom, and Receiving. Now, on Day Eight, we will go deeper and listen. Listening with all of our senses includes the feeling state of our bodies.
The summer I was finalizing my book, Heal My Voice: An Evolutionary Woman’s Journey, I was also reading the book, Through the Flower: My Struggle as a Woman Artist by Judy Chicago, published in 1982.
In her book, Ms. Chicago shares the struggles of creating art from a woman’s perspective when all of her teachers were teaching art from a male perspective. One part of this is that the tools designed for sculpture were designed for men.
