And the seasons, they go round and round

Good morning!

Fall has arrived! The leaves are changing on the trees. Birds are migrating. School is in session. Rosh Hashanah (the Jewish New Year) began on Friday, September 15 and Yom Kippur (the Day of Atonement) began on Friday, September 24. The Autumnal Equinox was on Saturday, September 23. We are getting close to Halloween and Samhain. These are all signs that fall has arrived and we are moving into a new cycle heralded in by nature.

My favorite season is autumn. Some of my “reasons” include:

*Harvest season and overflowing abundance of fruits and vegetables and flowers.

*New school/office supplies

*Warm soups and breads.

*Foods and beverages with the spices cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, nutmeg, and allspice.

*Action and forward movement

*Focus on the sacral chakra — creativity!

*Halloween and Day of the Dead — I love costumes, especially the ones where people take cardboard, paint, random clothes, and everyday items. I also love to honor my ancestors.
